Hope you all had a wonderful week this week! I know I did!
A few reminders for the day: first off - we are having an open gym/outdoor games event on Sunday night - 6:30-8:00 - wear tennis shoes and bring along a friend! Also - if there are any certain outdoor games you want to do, please bring them along!! I'll have some set up, but if you have your heart set on something, I don't want to hinder that. :)
Also, if you would like to be added to the blog mailing list - shoot an email to sjvyouthministry@gmail.com and I'll get you on that list so that you don't have to continually check this page - it will just come straight to your email! How convenient, right?
And Breakfast Club was great this morning! I had a good time, so if you haven't been coming, do your best to get up before the crack of dawn and join us...if it's a ride that you're looking for, email me and we'll try to figure out a way to set up a carpool! I know it's early...but it's such a great way to start out Fridays!
And now, for the verses of the day: "Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God...For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ." - 2 Corinthians 4:1-2, 5-6
