Everything Is Beautiful

I feel like I write about a lot of 'negative' things in this blog…and that's really not the impression I want to give anyone. It just seems more obvious to write about how we are to rise up during our tough times and circumstances - to overcome these difficult times, and to find happiness and praise throughout every moment of everyday - because it's easy to praise God when everything is going well…while it's sometimes tougher to praise God when hurdles enter our lives. So even though a lot of my subject matter may be a bit "depressing" or "negative," at the end of the blog, I want you to feel more revived and your spirits uplifted - and hopefully the next time a road block occurs in your life - you'll be able to handle the situation in a happier, more faith-filled way. With that said - I'll try to figure out some more neutral topics for the future rather than always discussing 'problems' within our lives.

Today, I'm going to use some song lyrics from the band Starfield (this is one of my all-time favorite bands at the moment) - the song is called "Everything is Beautiful," and the chorus of this song speaks to me so much! The words and music seem to pull together so wonderfully, and I think that they express the idea of praising God through everything, "even when the tears are falling"…and to realize God's beauty in everything, even if we are unable to accept it or understand it.

Here are the words from the chorus:

"Everything is beautiful
Even when the tears are falling
I don't need a miracle to believe
Even in the crashing down
I can hear redemption calling
And everything is beautiful to me."

So moving - so beautiful. Even when our whole world is "crashing down" we still have hope as Christians - we still believe that this world and our circumstances in this world are not the end, but that this life is only the very short beginning to our afterlife with God for eternity! We 'do not need miracles to believe' - "'Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed'" - John 20:29b - we trust in God and we trust in our faith in him. Through this hope - even through the tears and through the pain, everything can be beautiful and everything IS beautiful as long as we allow our eyes to see it.

Check out this video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2vrPxFz5W0) to hear the song and follow along with the lyrics…the pictures chosen are pretty decent too. There's a 'lengthy' intro, which you can skip over if you go to about the 35 seconds mark.

I love this song so much, it's even my ringtone for when I receive a voicemail or text message…so every time I receive a message I can be reminded that everything is beautiful! - No matter the circumstances of that day.

"I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil - this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it." - Ecclesiastes 3:10-14a
